Building a comprehensive WordPress site for Canada's largest boxing gym
Under the guidance of Taylor Fulde, I developed a comprehensive WordPress site for Griffins Boxing & Fitness, Canada's largest boxing gym located in North Vancouver. This was my first full client project and my first experience working collaboratively with a teammate, where I focused primarily on frontend development and built the custom blog page that remains live on the site today.
The Project
Griffins Boxing needed a professional web presence that reflected their position as Canada's largest boxing gym and home to their revolutionary Boxfit® and Boxtech® training systems. The site needed to showcase their diverse programs for all ages and abilities while being easy for the non-technical staff to update with news, events, and class information.
My First Collaborative Project
This project was significant as my first real client work and my first experience collaborating with another developer. Working closely with Taylor Fulde, I learned how to divide responsibilities, share feedback constructively, and adapt my development workflow to align with team practices. Taylor's mentorship shaped my approach to professional collaborative development and gave me the foundation to take on more client work confidently.
